Sherry Leeser is VP of Marketing Intelligence & Strategy at Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque, IA. Sherry has been with Dupaco for over 10 years. Her responsibilities at Dupaco includes: developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives; overseeing targeted marketing initiatives, advertising placement, member research, and voice of the member insights; participating in data governance and data sprint planning; and working on special projects. Sherry holds an MBA degree from the University of Dubuque, where she also serves as an adjunct professor teaching marketing courses for 6+ years.
Casey leads the Business Intelligence department at OCCU. He holds a Master's in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon and has dedicated over 10 years to the furthering of data-driven solutions in credit unions.
Julie leads activities for consumer and small business underwriting, funding, servicing, collections and credit risk management. Julie began her credit union career with WSECU in 1991. She recently graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in August 2018, and obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Management degree from Centralia College in 2016.

Chris Lanier has been engaging customers with IT solutions for over sixteen years. Over fourteen of these have been with Microsoft. An electrical engineer by training (LeTourneau University), Chris fueled his love for technology and business by completing his MBA at Cleveland State University. Over the years, he has worked with customers in a variety of areas: security, business intelligence and analytics, mobility, embedded devices, and more. Most recently, Chris has led the IoT Solution Team for the Americas since its inception in 2013, and he and his team continue to help partners and customers across industries realize the significant potential of this important trend.

Andrew Bertrand is the Data and Technology Manager at Our Community Credit Union. As the resident data nerd, Andrew moved into the Analytics role from Marketing as OCCU began their Business Analytics journey over 4 years ago. During that time, OCCU has implemented multiple data initiatives resulting in increased efficiency, increased revenue, decreased costs, and improved member service. Andrew’s current role involves managing day-to-day IT operations, business analytics, data strategy, risk analysis, report generation, marketing and segmentation analysis, product costing, and supports ongoing projects at OCCU with business analytics and information technology.
Jon Voorhees is a long-time financial industry executive, having led Retail Distribution Strategy functions at BankBoston, FleetBoston and Bank of America. Today, Jon works with a small groups of industry veterans who also served in very senior roles helping regional and community banks and credit unions drive strategic improvements.

Andrew received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Arizona and his MBA from Pepperdine University where he graduated first in his class. He is also a certified public accountant.
Ben Smith has 18 years of experience in the CU industry in the areas of lending, training and development, marketing, and business intelligence. He currently serves as a BI Analyst with Communication Federal Credit Union and specializes in data analytics, report design and dashboard development, targeted marketing campaigns, and data-driven strategic direction. Ben’s passion in the industry is to drive sustainable credit union growth and high quality member experiences using data analytics as the foundation.
Stephen Lark has over 20 years of experience guiding the vision of credit union marketing and brand development. He currently serves as Vice President Corporate Development with Communication Federal Credit Union, which encompasses business intelligence, marketing, internal employee education, external education and business development. Stephen serves as vice chair of the cornerstone marketing and business development executive committee, a member of the Oklahoma credit union governmental affairs committee, as president for the Greater Oklahoma Chapter of Credit Unions, as a member of the Southwest CUNA Management School alumni board and is a 2016 graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School.
Greg Leslie is the Data Scientist for SouthPoint Financial Credit Union in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. At two years, Greg is a relative newcomer to credit unions and brings 19 years of advanced analytics experience to the organization, spanning multiple industries from insurance to retail to higher education. He has led multiple data management system implementations, including the data warehouse for SouthPoint Financial, and is excited for the next phase of transforming this new sandbox into a dazzling castle. Greg holds a BS in Statistics from Saint Cloud State University and a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Kurt T. Schmidt has been working in the information technology field, leading technology departments and projects for over 25 years. Since 2007, Kurt has been serving as the Vice President of Information Technology for Capital Credit Union in Bismarck ND. Prior to that, Kurt led technology departments within North Dakota State Government, both at the ND Judicial Branch and the ND Highway Patrol.

Martin is the Digital Platform Ecosystem and Innovation Manager for Sound Credit Union. He has spent the past 20 years leading digital transformation efforts for organizations in the sports and entertainment, food service, retail, and financial industries. Martin has a BS in Marketing Management and an MBA from WGU Washington.
Melissa is a senior leader with over 20 years of experience in operational leadership, program management and business analytics. Beginning with a CORE conversion in 2014, Melissa and her team have been driving a company-wide effort to make St. Mary’s Bank a data-driven organization. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Bank, Melissa spent many years consulting in both the public and private sectors. She has a BA in Mathematics from Lafayette College, and an MS in Operations Research from The George Washington University.
Richard Hayden, whose work at Virginia Credit Union led him to the unusual role of “data scientist” for the $3.4 billion member-owned cooperative, has been recognized nationally in a publication serving the credit union industry. Hayden is one of 54 “Credit Union Rock Stars” for 2017.Hayden analyzes product usage patterns and other data to help VACU better meet the needs of its members.

JoEllen Zmolek Nyquist is a Product Marketing Strategist at Veridian Credit Union, the largest credit union in Iowa with 31 branches and over $4.1B in assets. In this position, JoEllen manages marketing for key loan products. Before joining Veridian, she worked at local and national advertising agencies serving clients in the renewable fuels, pharmaceutical, and entertainment industries, among others. JoEllen holds an MBA from Iowa State University.
