Andrew Downin

Andrew is passionate about uncovering insights into the minds of consumers and helping credit unions meet consumer needs through effective product design and promotion. His perspectives on consumer finance have been featured in publications including The New York Times, Credit Union Magazine, and Credit Union Times.

Andrew received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Arizona and his MBA from Pepperdine University where he graduated first in his class. He is also a certified public accountant.

Jason McDougal

Jason McDougal joined Sound Credit Union in 1997 and currently serves as the Vice President of Business Intelligence where he oversees all prioritization and management of strategic and operational work to bring data and analytics to all areas of the credit union, reporting, visualizations, data warehouse enhancement, and leveraging predictive modeling to increase and optimize member experiences, revenue generation and other business outcomes. Jason graduated from Whitworth University with a B.S. in Mathematics. In his spare time, he enjoys softball, coaching baseball, and hiking.

Tom Novak is the VP/Chief Digital Officer at Visions Federal Credit Union ($5.6 billion in assets, 230,000+ members) with responsibility for digital transformation in relation to member-facing technology platforms that strive to support seamless, end-to-end experiences. He is directly responsible for the digital strategy and payments strategy of Visions Federal Credit Union and has worked in the financial services industry for over 16 years.

George Rudolph

George has nearly thirty years of combined leadership experience in the credit union and airline industries. He is the President & CEO of PSECU, an $8 billion credit union serving more than 500,000 members.

Prior to joining PSECU, George served as Senior Vice President of Operations & Technology at Chicago’s Alliant Credit Union. Under his direction, Alliant’s technology teams executed a long-term vision of becoming a fully digital financial institution.

Over the years, George has also served as a trusted advisor and participant in some of the industry’s top committees, including vendor advisory boards, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Technology Council’s Executive Committee, and the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force.

David Mooney

Dave Mooney served as President and CEO of Alliant Credit Union for 17 years, retiring in 2020. Dave’s career in financial services includes experience across a range of business lines, markets, and functions at leading financial companies.

Prior to being appointed to Alliant’s top leadership position in 2003, he held a number of executive-level and management roles at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and its predecessors Chase Manhattan Bank and Chemical Bank. Prior to the last 4 years at Microsoft, Mac spent 4 years at IBM in their Watson business unit supporting Commercial and Enterprise customer.

Randall Nixon

He has previous experience helping customers in the Sales and eCommerce fields, as well. He currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at PenFed Credit Union, the 2nd largest credit union in the US. He also serves as the Board of Advisors at Spark Growth Ventures (SGV), community-driven, early-stage, vertical-agnostic, technology Venture Capital firm.

Over the past 20 years, he has held senior leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, including AARP, Capital One, Sabre Holdings (parent of Travelocity.com), and NIIT Technologies. Gaurav is passionate about startups and advises companies across marketing, digital, growth, leadership, and customer experience domains to help unlock their true potential.

Gaurav holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology as well as an M.S. in Information Systems and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Arlington. He is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program of The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. An avid runner, Gaurav also likes to teach and write in his spare time.

Brian Volkmann

Brian Volkmann is the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at Affinity Plus, a role he has held since May of 2016. In this capacity, he oversees accounting, finance, business performance, investor relations, lending and quality assurance. Brian joined Affinity Plus in 2000 as a branch manager, and during his career he has held various leadership positions within the credit union, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. As a diverse leader in the credit union industry, Brian serves on several boards, both within the credit union industry and the community. Brian’s success led to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal recognition in 2019 where he received the “CFO of the Year” award.

April Clobes

April Clobes has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union since March of 2015.She joined MSUFCU in 1996 and moved through the organization from a marketing specialist to management and executive positions prior to being named President/CEO. She also serves as the CEO of the Reseda Group, MSUFCU’s wholly-owned Credit Union Service Organization.

Tessa Kelln

Tessa joined the Wyth (previously Concentra) team in 2010. After working with credit unions on balance sheet management consulting in Wyth’s Strategic Financial Management team, she took on her current role of Securitization Director, which she has enjoyed for over 8 years. As Securitization Director, she leads a team of customer-obsessed Securitization Analysts assisting credit unions in accessing the CMHC sponsored Securitization Programs, overseeing assets under administration of over $4.5B. The team focuses on providing credit union partners with real-time market analytics, program-specific information and strategic guidance, aligned to each credit union’s unique business needs.

Tessa is a proud supporter of the cooperative movement and is passionate about her work with credit unions. She would also like to add that credit union management is by far the most fun client to connect with on a daily basis, and looks forward to continuing to build relationships in this sector.

Dan DeMers is the CEO and co-founder of Cinchy, the world’s first comprehensive Dataware platform. Dan spent over a decade as an IT executive with leading global financial institutions where he was responsible for delivering mission-critical transformation projects, greenfield technologies, and multi-million dollar technology investments. Knowing that half of all IT resources were wasted on data integration, Dan created Cinchy with the vision to simplify the enterprise data collaboration experience.
