Short Bio
Lisa Nicholas is president of Digital Banking Services (DBS), a CUSO owned and operated under Credit Union of Texas, headquartered in Austin, Texas. She specializes in marketing for the financial services industry with a focus on developing and executing marketing and digital growth plans for multi-million dollar companies. Nicholas has more than 20 years of experience in the credit union industry and financial marketing. She has worked with companies to transform their marketing and operations functions and transition from traditional forms of business to digital by leveraging technology and data.
Before joining DBS, she was chief digital officer for Austin-based Amplify Credit Union where she spearheaded the development of its digital branch, including a shift in architecture and systems to support sales, marketing and fulfillment teams. Prior to that Nicholas ran Arrow Results, a marketing and advertising company, where she developed and executed a variety of strategic initiatives for clients in financial, high tech, legal and association spaces.
Nicholas has received numerous marketing awards during her career including Best Newsletter, Best Coordinated Campaign and Best Direct Mail Series. For her long-term excellence and life-long commitment to the credit union industry, Nicholas was awarded Marketing & Business Development Council Marketing Professional of the Year, a prestigious honor reserved for the credit union marketing elite. The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) named her Professional of the Year. She was also named Communicator of the Year by the International Association of Business Communicators, Austin Chapter. Nicholas is a frequent speaker at industry events, most recently at the CUES Technology Council and the annual SalesForce DreamForce conference.
Nicholas earned a Bachelor Degree in Public Relations from Northern Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from St. Edwards University.
