Digital Banking Roundtable

Digital banking is one of the most crucial credit union trends. Financial institutions of all sizes have been pushed to develop faster than intended due to Covid-19. Now people of every generation are willing to make payments, transfer money and manage accounts online. So what does this mean for customers and credit unions? Let's have a look!

On Mar 3, 2022, CULytics hosted the first Digital Banking Roundtable for credit union leaders. Leaders shared their insights to find better ways to serve their members and help them digitally manage their financial lives. The Roundtable opened with Bill Snider, Vice President, Digital Strategy and Marketing, Clearview Federal Credit Union, setting the discussion context.

Sharing his view on digital banking, the bill said that to meet existing members' digital expectations and future members' digital demands, credit unions must adopt digital channels such as live chat and chatbots, etc. You'll need a good plan that's linked with your company's strategic goals, as well as team support, the correct tools, and a method for tracking your success.

Don Lindt, Digital Marketing Manager, Star One Credit Union, Issac, Schools First Credit Union, and Mike Mohney, First Financial Credit Union, shared that the digital trend stays for longer. They have not seen any regression. 

In a subsequent talk, they had a long discussion about how technology improves a member engagement experience.

Clearview uses POPi/o, the digital customer engagement platform, which provides an efficient digital pathway for all customers' needs. Citadel is using Avaya as its telephone and contact center solution. In addition, Citadel Credit Union partners with Terafina Inc. to launch digital account opening and omnichannel transformation. Star One Credit Union uses the Prisma Campaign platform for marketing campaigns aligned with clients and business goals. Joey Buston, Logix FCU, is looking at the new one, Glia, which enables businesses to seamlessly engage their customers and members, no matter where they are and co-pilot them to excellent service outcomes.

The hour-long discussion had interesting insights, and leaders shared specific challenges and discovered new strategies. This Roundtable had attendees from Schools First Federal Credit Union, Star One Credit Union, Logix FCU, Citadel Credit Union, First Financial Credit Union, Clearview Credit Union.

Consumer needs and technological advancements are fuelling the experience economy. Delivering optimized, personalized experiences across channels at scale plays a critical role in delivering the right expertise in a digital-first world.
